Stella Did Renegade

Here are pics from The WonderCraft booth at last weekend's utterly amazing Renegade Craft Fair (in Austin for the first time ever!). Everything about the show was craftacularly blissful.

From the time the doors opened on Day 1 until they closed on Day 2, our interactive area was hoppin'!

We showed guests how to "Trick Out Some Timber" with a simple image transfer technique, & then use decoupage &/or picks from our stash of cool ribbon, trims, buttons & baubles to give it some unique flair.

A steady stream of shoppers enjoyed browsing the handmade goods inside Stella's Boutique (at times it was shoulder-to-shoulder in there!), & we had our famous design-your-own pinback buttons station just outside the door.

A big "thank you" to everyone who came out! We had such a fabulous time spreading the crafty love & made lots of new friends. Can't wait for Renegade Austin 2011! {Oh yes, I think it's gonna happen!} : )

Renegade Craft Fair is going to be AWEsome!

I'll be there with The WonderCraft - we're actually towing Stella, our Airstream trailer, INSIDE the events center! She'll be loaded up with fabulous handmade goodies from our boutique, and we'll be doing make & take crafts, too! Hope you'll come on out to this event. With so many amazing artists involved, it's sure to be fabulous! Click the pic for all the deets.

Don't Miss Shop Austin This Weekend!

The Lone Star Ladies Present:
Saturday, 4/17
10am - 6pm

In addition to the AWESOME VENDORS, there will be:
Goodie Bags for the first 30 shoppers!
plus a Beauty Lounge, a Cafe, & a fun Photo Booth!

It's gonna be a blast, y'all, with some rootin'-tootin' good shoppin' from lots of talented artisans! Hope to see you there! You can get your tix online or at the door. They're $10 for adults (kids 12 & under are free), with $5 going to the Frontier arts scholarship. How cool is that?!

The silly pic above was taken at last year's show; the hubs & I had a lot of fun volunteering.

So much going on!

There are so many things I've been wanting to post about - 1920s hair & makeup inspiration; the Bookmaking class I just finished teaching; the Printmaking class I just started teaching; the upcoming East Austin Studio Tour...

But right now I am just working furiously to get ready for a big craft show I'm doing this weekend, the Hill Country Arts & Crafts Fair in Georgetown. I am really excited about it because it will be my first really big show (2 days, 140 artists/craftspeople & an estimated 2-3,000 attendees!), which also makes me nervous. So I better get back to work, but just wanted to post the info here, because if you're a local you might wanna check this out! Buy handmade this holiday season! There will be jewelry, pottery, clothing, accessories, hand-carved wooden items, quilts, stained-glass products, ceramics, silk-flower arrangements and Christmas items. Five food vendors will also have their wares for sale including kettle corn, hot dogs, burgers, fries, hand-dipped ice cream, corn dogs, fudge, soup, sausage wraps, and nachos. and admission is free! So come on out!
